Just one little quibble about the wolf's injury. If you wanted it to recover, a bullet grazing the head might have been a better injury. I know people, including my family, who have hunted coyotes, deer and birds. Generally, the most common way for animals to be stopped and yet survive without veterinarian treatment would be from a bullet just clipping the skull. With a chest shot, the animal might fall but there's a chance it would jump up again and run off to die from internal injuries.
Still, it hasn't impacted my enjoyment of the comic.
